Bird Watching
Base Macrocarpa is located on the part of the Ottawa River called the Coulonge Lake. There are numerous bird migrations in this area. You will be pleasantly surprised by the many areas favorable to the resting and feeding of the birds. For the amateur bird watcher, these areas are easily accessible by bicycle or by canoe from the Base and will allow you to see many different birds. On site, a guide will tell you where the best birdwatching spots are situated. We can also organize for you nature watching expeditions with the help of a local outfitter.
